Inside the sim: learning a circuit in 48 hours
Before Portimão, I will drive around six hundred laps of it — without leaving the workshop. Here is how the simulator week works.

The simulator is not a game. It is a tool for making mistakes where they are free.
For a new circuit, the first day is reference laps: braking points, gears, lines. The second is setup work with my engineer.
By the time we arrive at the track, the car and I should already agree on what a good lap feels like.
