I don’t race to be the first woman to do something. I race to be the fastest person on the track that day.
Mara Lind grew up a ten-minute drive from the TT Circuit in Assen. Her first kart was borrowed, her first track an empty supermarket car park, and her first stopwatch her father’s phone.
Five seasons of international karting brought an OK-Junior European title in 2016. Cars followed in 2019 — Ginetta Junior, then two years in GT4 — before a test day at Zandvoort turned into a full Euro GT Cup seat with Nordwerk Motorsport.
In 2026 she took a first win at Monza from pole and, with two rounds to go, sits third in the championship. Off track she works with a performance coach, spends three days a week on the simulator and runs a karting programme for girls aged eight to fourteen.
